Intervention Services: If you have a loved one or friend who is the grips of an addiction to drugs and/or alcohol, getting the addict to admit their substance abuse and getting them into treatment is the most difficult task. The addict mindset is one of heavy denial, and there may have been previous failed attempts to convince the addict that treatment would be in their best interest. A tool that can be used to provide the spark needed to get an addict the treatment and help they need is through an intervention. With help from the professionals at an Ohio intervention program, you can help push those who are reluctant to seek treatment into those essential programs that can help them recover. Medically Assisted Detox: Ohio Addiction Recovery Center is one of the few drug treatment centers in the state that offers onsite, medical detoxification services. The medical detox program offered at Ohio Addiction Recovery Center includes a couple of features that are unique in comparison to other medical detox facilities in Ohio. First, clients will receive counseling and therapy that focuses specifically on the client’s personal goals and desires. Secondly, clients are introduced to Ohio Addiction Recovery Center’s addiction treatment programming, which is specifically structured so the client can start putting their focus solely on their recovery. 24-Hour Clinical Care: At certain points in the recovery process, it\'s important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand. Aftercare Support: Ohio Addiction Recovery Center supports clients through the many stages of recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Their continuum of care programs and treatment services are designed to ensure that each client receives the appropriate level of care needed to achieve lifelong recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Sober Living Homes: Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who\'ve just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle. Partial Hospitalization Program: A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one\'s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient\'s own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse. Dialectical Behavior Therapy: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder. Equine Therapy: Ohio Addiction Recovery Center also embraces holistic therapies such as equine therapy in order to help addicts heal in mind, body and spirit. By working with specially-trained horses through a guided set of activities, clients will develop and enhance their verbal and non-verbal communication, and they will learn to develop their problem solving skills, develop a sense of leadership and stimulate new ways of creative thinking. Additionally, their Ohio equine therapy programs will help you nurture and further develop the building of relationship skills and trust. As a result, you gain a great sense confidence and responsibility. Experiential Therapy: Another popular holistic therapy option is their Ohio adventure therapy programs. Adventure therapy is an extremely therapeutic intervention that utilizes the backdrop of Mother Nature as a means for clients to experience adventure and to explore the world around them. Adventure addiction therapy teaches basic survival skills along with strong team building and effective communication skills with the ultimate goal of promoting emotional and spiritual growth as well as self-discovery. The adventure therapy program at Ohio Addiction Recovery Center allows clients to reconnect with their environment and allows them to address their addiction issues. Family Therapy: While the primary focus on addiction treatment in the addict him or herself, the reality is that addiction is a family disease. The action and behaviors of the addict while under the influence of drugs and alcohol often has severe impacts on the family unit. Their Ohio family therapy program brings the whole family in safe, respectful and empowering atmosphere in order to work through the individual issues of each family member. An experienced therapist will help the addict and their family create healthy interpersonal communication skills that will foster a nurturing and positive environment once treatment is completed. Group Therapy: Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members. Individual Therapy: In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life. Life Skills: An important skill that is taught in their Ohio outpatient treatment center are the life and coping skills needed to function daily basis while still keeping recovery at the forefront. Clients will learn how to create a healthy daily schedule, money management, and budgeting and building effective interpersonal skills as well as receive employment coaching and other important life skills. The structure of their Ohio day treatment program allows for an environment where clients can actively practice and hone these skills at home once they leave treatment for the day. Motivational Interviewing: Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely. Nutrition Therapy: Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health. Recreational Therapy: Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients\' physical, social, and emotional well-being. Trauma Therapy: Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client\'s past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Detail

Alcoholism: The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings. Dual Diagnosis: While many focus on the actual use of drugs and alcohol as the cause for one’s addiction, substance use is often a symptom of a more deeply rooted problem such as depression, anxiety or PTSD. With the appropriate interventions or referrals to reputable mental health services and related agencies, those who get treatment at our Ohio outpatient rehab can get the necessary mental health interventions they need along with drug treatment. As a result, the addict’s chances of a full recovery dramatically increase. Mental Health and Substance Abuse: A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track. Opioid Addiction: Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.
