Levels Of Care

Medically Assisted Detox: A drug detox is the physical and emotional process of overcoming a dependence on an addictive substance and learning to live a clean life that’s free of that dependence. At drug treatment and detox rehab centers in Florida like Beachway, they focus on clean living, supportive environments, personalized therapy, and life-skills learning that will provide clients with a strong foundation to live a happy and healthy life that’s drug-free, independent, and productive. Beachway’s drug detox programs provide counseling, medical treatment, and knowledgeable staff. This combination of services makes the detox process as stress-free and comfortable as possible, making it easier for clients to break the cycle of addiction. Intensive Outpatient: Intensive Outpatient Programs offer regular group therapy sessions, which are led by trained professionals. These therapy sessions are available to cover a variety of topics, addictions, and stages of recovery. These topics can include developing processes to help manage emotions and stressors, understanding “trigger” feelings and situations which may lead to abuse, money management strategies and planning, and how to adapt to unfamiliar and stressful situations. Inpatient: Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient\'s individual requirements. Sober Living Homes: If clients are referred to a sober living facility, they will stay at a comfortable home living environment minutes from Beachway. Patients will have an onsite manager for any assistance and for ensuring evening curfews are met. Patients will held accountable for their actions and may undergo periodic alcohol and drug testing. Clients will receive membership to a gym while developing healthy daily living habits. Aftercare Support: Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn\'t spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Clinical Services

Creative Arts Therapy: Art therapy is the creation of art by people who are experiencing trauma, illness or difficulties coping with their daily lives. Through the process of creation and appreciation within a group therapeutic context, people can gain greater awareness and insight about themselves and others. The creative process can help cope with traumatic experiences, stress, and symptoms and is a useful tool in improving cognitive abilities. Equine Therapy: The use of horses as part of a therapeutic treatment can help people achieve growth in their emotional and personal lives, particularly if their priorities have become unclear. When used as part of a substance abuse program, equine therapy for addiction can provide significant benefits to some individuals. Experiential Therapy: Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing. Family Therapy: Alcoholism and drug addiction traumatize and stress the entire family, and without intervention through a family recovery program, trauma can affect an individual for a lifetime. Living in an intensely emotional environment of fear and manipulation, family members of an addict must deal with high levels of stress and anxiety. It is not unusual for family members to feel like they are losing their sense of normalcy and self as their loved one’s addiction makes the family dynamics increasingly dysfunctional. At Beachway Therapy Center, they care for the healing of the entire family. Trying to treat an individual addict without addressing family recovery would only be treating one facet of the problem. The entire family suffers when one member is an addict, so the whole family must be a part of the recovery process. Group Therapy: Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members. Individual Therapy: In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life. Nutrition Therapy: Drugs and alcohol impact the system differently. Although one thing is true: people who abuse substances such as alcohol and drugs are malnourished. Between eating poorly and the effects that drugs or alcohol have on patients system, metabolism, organ function, and mental health are all affected by what goes into the body. When clients enter rehab at Beachway, they have access to a nutritionist to help get them back on track, fueling their body in a way that will promote health and longevity and make them feel better. Providing services such as nutritional evaluations, counseling for weight management and counseling for nutritional needs to help with eating disorders, substance abuse, and other mental illnesses, nutritionist can provide the tools to eat well during recovery and for the rest of their life. Trauma Therapy: Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client\'s past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Detail

Alcoholism: Beachway goes beyond the 12 Steps. They match every individual with a therapy team and customized treatment plan that can include the Alcoholics Anonymous 12-Step Program and other therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), group therapy, individual therapy and other modalities. There’s no one-size-fits-all alcohol treatment program, which is why we provide a variety of proven, interactive therapies that include services such as therapeutic excursions, equine therapy, yoga, art therapy and full spa services. Dual Diagnosis: Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person\'s mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Mental Health and Substance Abuse: When clients are facing mental health and substance abuse issues, they can feel trapped by addiction and its rollercoaster. Recovering from alcohol or drug dependence is a complex journey that also requires addressing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD and other mental health concerns. Opioid Addiction: Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.
