Levels Of Care

Outpatient: Outpatient programs are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare. La Fuente provides outpatient treatment specifically designed to heal, strengthen & advance the lives of LGBT people. The La Fuente Intensive Outpatient Program is conveniently located in the heart of Hollywood and offers Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) for clients at a stage in their recovery process where they can benefit from the flexibility & autonomy that comes with outpatient treatment as well as the unique programming offered at this level of care. It is here where La Fuente’s clients have the opportunity to integrate or reintegrate, as is often the case, occupational, academic & social activities & responsibilities back into their lives, enriching and enhancing the recovery process. Medically Assisted Detox: Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. Effective inpatient drug rehab and alcohol treatment sometimes requires drug and/or alcohol detox for people who may be experiencing withdrawal symptoms caused by excessive and prolonged drug and alcohol dependence. La Fuente Hollywood Treatment Center provides access to Board Certified Addiction Medicine doctors that manage the detox services so that clients have comfort and safety during this level of care when it is required. Inpatient: Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient\'s individual requirements. La Fuente Hollywood Treatment Center\'s residential level of care provides 24/7 onsite care. Client care begins with a comprehensive evaluation by their Board Certified medical doctor and Licensed Therapists, who specialize in the field of addiction. Each client is provided with an individual treatment plan designed to meet his/her and or their specific needs. Their approach seamlessly integrates clinical therapy, psycho-education, 12-step programming, fitness and nutrition with progressive levels of care that range from 30 to 60 days. Intervention Services: Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict\'s behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need. Sober Living Homes: Sober community living is a structured residential environment designed to serve as an ideal transition to fully independent living, and assures safety while maintaining peer support as you establish a foundation for an enduring recovery. Clients reinforce their self-directed involvement in 12-Step Recovery through daily meetings, commitments and a mentoring relationship with a sponsor. A strong community spirit is established amongst your peers with accountability through daily check-ins, standard curfews, drug testing and routine household duties. Contact La Fuente to get you or a loved one on the road to recovery today.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one\'s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient\'s own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse. Dialectical Behavior Therapy: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder. Family Therapy: Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation. La Fuente understands that for families and friends of drug or alcohol addicted individuals, addressing the addiction are one of the most difficult aspects of helping the addicted person seek treatment. La Fuente is also keenly aware that LGBT people and their families often times also have unresolved early childhood trauma related to coming out or being neglected as a result of sexual preferences or identities. Group Therapy: Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members. Individual Therapy: In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life. Motivational Interviewing: Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely. Nutrition Therapy: Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Detail

Alcoholism: The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings. Dual Diagnosis: Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person\'s mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Mental Health and Substance Abuse: A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track. Opioid Addiction: Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.
