Levels Of Care

Medically Assisted Detox: Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one\'s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. 24-Hour Clinical Care: At certain points in the recovery process, it\'s important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand. Intensive Outpatient: As clients at Anaheim Lighthouse approach the time for discharge from residential treatment, their Intensive Outpatient Program paves the way. Because they are a client-centered drug addiction treatment center, they work with each individual from Day One through aftercare to develop confidence in a life free from the chains of drug and alcohol abuse. They build relationships with their clients because they care. As they walk together through the recovery journey, they help each client to restore physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. They are professionally and personally invested in establishing a trusting relationship with each client in order to create a plan that will decrease the chances of relapse once residential treatment is complete. Inpatient: Residential treatment centers provide the support, continuity and stability needed for a solid recovery foundation. After a period of time in a drug detox center, for instance, an addict or alcoholic is likely to need some time to heal and to develop a commitment to abstinence before re-integrating into the mainstream of life. Old friends who are still drinking or using may still be in their lives, families may have misgivings, and there may not have been time to build a support network that fills the need for encouragement and healthy relationships. Taking time in an alcohol and drug treatment center helps individuals see how they can rebuild their lives without the use of substances, and the emotional rollercoaster that almost always comes after detox can settle down. In addition, even after a period of continuous abstinence, those who feel they are at risk of relapse may need time away in residential treatment. Anaheim Lighthouse offers residential services that the addict or alcoholic needs for building and/or reinforcing healthy coping mechanisms and regular routines. Intervention Services: At Anaheim Lighthouse, they give intervention services. Drug or alcohol intervention is a delicate process. It is an opportunity for family members and loved ones to compassionately confront the addict with objective observations in order to focus on the reality of the situation. They work closely with family members to prepare in advance by thinking about and expressing how the addict’s behavior has affected them adversely. The goal of intervention is to encourage a commitment from the substance abuser to enter drug addiction treatment. Their experienced interventionists also help the family to determine specific consequences if the addict is not willing to cooperate by taking advantage of help at a residential treatment center. Interventions are conducted without finger-pointing and accusations.

Clinical Services

Family Therapy: Addiction is a powerful and lonely trauma to suffer alone. It is physically and emotionally draining on family, friends, business associates and yourself. The best solution is seeking addiction treatment at the right drug rehab center with the right addiction treatment services. Anaheim Lighthouse offers top quality services for addicts and their families at their Southern California drug and alcohol rehab. Anaheim Lighthouse is located in a clean, safe, stable, loving, and caring environment overseen by highly trained professionals. Group Therapy: Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members. Individual Therapy: In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life. Trauma Therapy: Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client\'s past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Detail

Alcoholism: The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings. Dual Diagnosis: Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person\'s mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Mental Health and Substance Abuse: A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track. Opioid Addiction: Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.
