Levels Of Care

Outpatient: The Bridge Behavioral Health offers Outpatient Treatment for both men and women 19 and older. Outpatient allows clients to maintain their connections with the community (such as a job, school or family) while participating in treatment. Family Care is available to help repair relationships and build a support system. This evidence-based treatment may be one-on-one and/or in a group setting and addresses both substance use and mental health. The Bridge counselors work with other community programs to implement individual recovery plans. Medically Assisted Detox: Our voluntary Medical Withdrawal Unit serves women and men age 19 and older who need medical supervision during the withdrawal process. Staff include 24-hour registered nursing care and licensed alcohol and drug counselors, who help clients prepare for treatment, provide case management, and arrange follow-up care. Stays are typically three to five days. Intensive Outpatient: Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. Inpatient: Residential treatment programs are for men 19 and older. Clients stay at The Bridge from 30 days to 10 months in this structured program. They address issues that led to addiction, cope with personal trauma, learn life skills, and address medical needs. The Bridge’s residential program is specifically designed so the person finds safe passage from addiction to sober living. While in treatment, clients will have the opportunity for better nutrition thanks to a commercial kitchen built in 2015. Clients will get established with a medical home if they don’t have one. Family Care is available to help repair relationships and build a support system. Daily sobriety support meetings are held in the building to allow clients to hear from individuals who have found long-term sobriety and perhaps to find a sponsor or peer for support. When graduating, clients have a plan to support their recovery and ongoing care choices. Aftercare Support: Research shows that clients who get involved in continuing care after treatment are more likely to remain clean and sober. The Bridge helps people stay sober through a variety of special programs and community events, that include The Continuing Care Group and The Alumni Group. The Bridge sponsors social events like Tailgate Straight and Soberoke, which are alcohol-free and open to the public. In addition, self-help groups, such as AA, NA and Al-anon meet regularly at The Bridge. 24-Hour Clinical Care: At certain points in the recovery process, it\'s important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand.

Clinical Services

Couples Therapy: Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person\'s life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety. Family Therapy: Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation. Group Therapy: Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members. Individual Therapy: In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life. Life Skills: Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety. Nutrition Therapy: Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health. Residential Clients have the opportunity to learn kitchen skills and enjoy health meals. Trauma Therapy: Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client\'s past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Detail

Alcoholism: The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings. Dual Diagnosis: Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person\'s mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Opioid Addiction: Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction. Substance Abuse: Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
