Levels Of Care

Intensive Outpatient: The Connections Addiction Treatment Center’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is aimed at providing a less structured yet thorough therapeutic environment for patients who have completed the PHP component level of care and/or patients who are in need of a less restrictive level of care. It offers patient’s in recovery the chance to receive group and individual intensive outpatient therapy while focusing on other vocational, educational and personal goals. Outpatient: The Connections Addiction Treatment Center’s Outpatient Program (OP) offers individual and group therapy for their patients who have either already completed the intensive outpatient treatment level of care or for those patients who are just in need of outpatient services. They will receive the full benefit of all outpatient services offered at their facility. Aftercare Support: The core focus of Connections Addiction Treatment Center is to help you on the path toward beating addiction, achieving a lasting recovery, and ultimately becoming one of their alumni, where together they will continue the journey of sobriety with you. The primary therapist and clinical team devise a very specific and detailed individualized aftercare plan. They also offer continued treatment after discharge with their IOP and Outpatient programs which one can attend up until a year after discharge.

Clinical Services

Creative Arts Therapy: Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself. Experiential Therapy: Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional “talk therapy” by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing. Group Therapy: Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members. Individual Therapy: In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life. Life Skills: Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety. Motivational Interviewing: Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely. Nutrition Therapy: Nutrition & Well-being plays an important role in your overall health. Without proper nutrition you could experience deficits such as, slowed cognition, physical ailments, exhaustion, mental fatigue, and difficulty concentrating. As a part of their program they incorporate intensive nutrition support and education to help facilitate the rehabilitation process and to help client address their whole well-being and health needs.

Detail

Alcoholism: The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings. Dual Diagnosis: Dual diagnosis is a term used when someone experiences both a clinical mood disorder and a substance abuse disorder. A person experiencing a mental health condition may turn to drugs and/or alcohol as a form of self-medication. The most common method of treatment for dual diagnosis is integrated intervention. Connections Addiction Treatment Center will review and treat the physical, mental and social problems all at once while treating substance abuse. Because there are many ways in which a dual diagnosis may occur treatment will not be the same for everyone. Their individualized programs are specially designed to cater to each patient’s personal needs. Opioid Addiction: Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction. Substance Abuse: Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
